Does my model know what it doesn't know?
Uncertainty estimation is important whenever we have a model that is being used for important decisions. Usually, models only give us so-called point estimates. For these questions, we usually turn to Bayesian Models.
Ensembles as approximation to Bayesian models
One way of getting around this issue is to train several models that predict the same value as an Ensemble and see where they agree or disagree.
